Alliance Project Manager
Carla Blackmar, MCP Carla Blackmar is the Project Manager for the Public Health Alliance of Southern California where she leads work to advance health equity through policy, systems and environmental change. Her recent work has focused on developing clear guidance on how to maximize the health co-benefits of investments and plans ranging from the very large (statewide grants and regional planning) to the very small (Active Transportation Program projects). She came to Public Health from a background in city planning and community engagement, and is consistently energized by the human-centered approach of her Public Health colleagues. Carla holds an MA in City Planning from SDSU, and a BA in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard. When not at work, you can find her biking/ walking/ busing with her kids on the streets of Los Angeles.
